Workers' Compensation

If you have been injured at work, you need an experienced attorney to help you get the monetary and/or medical benefits you are entitled to.  Attorney Roberto Ramirez has handled thousands of Workers’ Compensation cases since 1998.

Florida Workers’ Compensation law provides workers who suffer work-related injuries with medical and wage benefits.  Your employer does not have to have been negligent in order for you to qualify for benefits.  You must simply have been injured while in the course and scope of your employment.  In theory, employers report these work accidents to their workers’ compensation insurance carrier so they can provide the injured worker with the benefits he or she needs.  In practice, however, many employers do not cooperate and it becomes necessary for the employee to hire an attorney to make sure he or she receives workers’ compensation benefits.

Slip and Falls

Property owners have a duty to make sure the premises are reasonably safe for their patrons.  Grocery stores, shopping malls, amusement parks, and office buildings are examples of places that should be maintained in a reasonably safe condition.  If you have slipped and fallen or have tripped and fallen and were injured, you need the help of an experienced attorney to review your case to make sure you are compensated for the injuries caused by the negligence of another.

Uninsured/Underinsured Motorist
If you have been injured in any type of car or motorcycle accident, you need an experienced attorney to handle your case.  In many cases, the driver who caused the accident has adequate insurance coverage from which you may recover for your injuries.
Sometimes, the driver who caused the accident is uninsured or is underinsured.  Uninsured means they do not have bodily injury insurance from which you could recover.  Underinsured means they do not have enough bodily injury insurance to adequately compensate you for your injuries, pain and suffering, etc.
In those cases where the at-fault driver is uninsured or underinsured, our attorneys will review your insurance policy to discover all possible sources of compensation for your injuries.  If your policy includes uninsured/underinsured motorist coverage, you may be able to recover from your own policy.
